Terms, Conditions & Online Safeguarding Information – Webinars
By signing up for a webinar, you (“Parent/Guardian”) agree to the following terms on behalf of your child (“Student”).
1. Our Commitment to Quality
The Academic Coach Ltd is committed to providing high-quality online education.
All coaches are qualified teachers and hold enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checks.
This ensures professionalism, safeguarding, and dedication to each student’s educational development.
2. Booking & Payment

Payment must be made in full at the time of booking to secure a place.

Bookings are for single, one-off webinars, not ongoing classes.

Refunds are only provided in accordance with the Refund Policy below.
3. Refund Policy
Refunds will be issued if:

The webinar is cancelled by The Academic Coach Ltd.

A technical problem on our side prevents the session from taking place.
Refunds will NOT be issued if:

There is a technical issue on the student’s device, internet, or software.

Microsoft Teams is not set up correctly.
💡 Tip: Test your Teams login before the webinar to avoid issues.
4. Session Format

Webinars are group sessions delivered via Microsoft Teams.

Student cameras will remain off, and students interact via the monitored chat function.

Participation does not require speaking or showing video.

Resources (e.g., templates, booklets) will be shared during or after the session.
5. Recording

The session will be recorded for replay access and may also be used for future on-demand versions of the webinar.

Student cameras and voices will not appear in recordings. Chat may be anonymised if included.

Recordings are stored securely and will only be used in line with privacy and safeguarding policies.
6. GDPR & Marketing Consent

Parent/guardian consent is required for webinar participation.

Optional marketing consent may be collected separately to receive updates about future courses or bootcamps.

Only students whose parents opt in will be added to marketing communications.

Parents may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us.
7. Technical Requirements

Students require a stable internet connection and a device capable of running Microsoft Teams.

The Academic Coach Ltd is not responsible for technical issues on the student’s side.

Students should log in 5–10 minutes before the scheduled start time to avoid delays.
8. What Students Will Need

9. Online Safeguarding
Parents/carers must:

Consent to their child’s participation in online lessons.

Ensure students attend in a safe, shared space.

10. No Grade Guarantees
The Academic Coach Ltd provides tools, resources, and guidance to support student success.
We cannot guarantee or promise specific results, grades, or outcomes. Student effort, choices, and circumstances are the primary factors in achieving results.
